Ice Makers

Find the Best Ice Makers for Your Home

A dedicated ice maker makes sure you always have plenty of fresh ice for parties, game days, summer barbecues, and everyday drinks, without relying on the small ice bin in your refrigerator. Ice makers are popular additions to kitchen islands, wet bars, basements, home theaters, and outdoor kitchens. Many models produce far more ice each day than a refrigerator ice maker, and some make specialty ice such as clear gourmet cubes or soft, chewable nugget ice that many people love for sodas and iced drinks. An ice maker also frees up freezer space that would otherwise be taken up by bags of ice.

Our ice makers include undercounter ice makers, freestanding ice makers, and countertop ice makers. Built-in 15 inch undercounter models from Summit, U-Line, Scotsman, Viking, and Marvel are available in stainless steel, black, and panel ready designs that blend with cabinetry, with daily production from about 15 to 80 pounds. Many offer a choice of gravity drain or drain pump. Countertop models include the GE Profile Opal nugget ice makers in stainless steel, black stainless, and carbon black, which plug into any outlet and need no plumbing. Panel ready models disappear into your cabinetry for a seamless, custom kitchen or bar design.

When you shop ice makers, start with where it will go and what hookups are available. Built-in undercounter models need a water line, and they need either a floor drain for gravity drain models or a drain pump to move water to a higher drain. Countertop models only need an outlet and are filled by hand. Next, consider how much ice you use each day and how much storage you need, the type of ice you prefer, and whether you want a panel ready design or stainless steel. If you entertain often, choose a model with higher daily production and a larger storage bin.
