  • Enjoy the high-end looks and reliable features of a KitchenAid cooktop.

Shop by Sizes & Type

When you shop cooktops for sale, size and type are very important considerations. A drop in cooktop is designed for 24 in deep cooktops (from the front to the back) and require an exact cutout from your counterspace. When you measure, keep in mind that the cutout dimensions and the overall dimensions will differ.

  • A 24 inch cooktop is ideal for compact kitchens (like in an apartment) and feature up to 4 burners.
  • A 30 inch cooktop is the standard size and features up to 4 burners.
  • A 36 inch cooktop will feature 4 to 6 burners. Some might even feature a warming zone.

After narrowing down the size, you can then choose between a gas, electric, or induction cooktop. Before you decide, double check the type of hookups you have, as that will determine which fuel type you need for your built in cooktop. If you already have a built in gas line, a gas cooktop provides a fast, responsive heat. If you have electric hookups, then you need to decide between the low simmering of an electric cooktop or the precise heating surface of an induction cooktop.
